Confession: I wear white all year round–I don’t care if it’s post or pre Labor Day. Wearing white in winter can be a fun pop of “color” in a sea of black.

And I’m not the only one: check out the very wearable Guess wool trench, Kirsten Dunst in a stunning gown, Karlie Kloss with a dramatic oversize vest, yours truly, and Doutzen Kroes above for some ideas on wearing white on the winter.

Tips:  Don’t wear nude or pastel shoes, try a simple black, a dark green or purple, or a classic red.  Keep accessories simple and bold.  Pay attention to sleeve length–don’t go strapless, or choose something with thin spaghetti straps unless you plan on layering. You don’t want anyone to confuse your getup with a cover up!

Happy Dressing!
